LECOM Harborcenter Cup Jamboree Rules

1. Tournament Rules

  1. All teams and players must be registered with USA Hockey or Hockey Canada. Each team must show proof of their USA Hockey/Hockey Canada membership application, team roster prior to their first tournament game. USA Hockey rules will apply.

  2. Players may not play for more than one team.

  3. Each player’s parent/guardian must sign a LECOM Harborcenter waiver, either online or a

    hard copy before playing.

2. Team Information

  1. All teams should have matching jerseys and socks with the exception of special circum- stances cleared with the tournament director.

  2. Each coach should have the team arrive 45 minutes prior to scheduled game and dressed in uniform colors, ready to take the ice 10 minutes prior to game time. Schedule change’s will be made at the tournament director’s discretion only.

  3. Refusal to play a scheduled game or failure to appear on time for a scheduled game may result in forfeiture of remaining Jamboree games as determined by the tournament director.

  4. Each team is responsible for the storage of its own equipment between games. Each coach will be responsible for insuring that the team leaves the locker room in a neat and orderly condition.

3. Game Rules

  1. Games will be played half-ice 4 on 4.

  2. A 3 minute warm up will be given prior to each game

  3. All games will be 3 12-minute running-time periods.

  4. Shifts will be 90 seconds in length which will end with a buzzer.

  5. Score will be kept, game stats will not.

  6. Referees will be used to facilitate the game, after a goal is scored, a quick face-off will be

    used to restart the game. The emphasis is still on maximizing puck touches and playing

    time.

  7. If a penalty is to be assessed the referee will keep track and a penalty shot taken at the end

    of the game.
